You can skip your workout the day of the session. We're going to be running through the field, playing hide and seek, singing songs, and tickling your kiddo until we get belly laughs. But there's one thing we won't do. We will not sit and stare blankly into the camera with fake smiles. If that's what you're looking for, you're on the wrong site. I know that your two-year-old probably won't sit still so I'll gladly chase them around until I get "the shot," because I care about giving you stunning images you'll cherish for a lifetime.

Ahh, I've heard this a time or two. I recommend starting with your must-have piece, which usually is Moms outfit. Once that outfit is picked, we start to build off of that. I recommend items that coordinate/compliment each other, not items that match. Long flowing dresses with a hat make for wonderful photos. I have a client closet available for you to use, see link above (under gimme the details). I'm more than happy to help style your family. Send me photos of what you have and I'll tell you what will photograph best.
I recommend a neutral timeless color scheme. You want the focus to be on you and your family not your kids light up sneakers. Muted earth tones always photograph best. The color scheme of this site is a great pallet. Rust, brown, olive green, white, cream, mustard, etc. I recommend one pattern and pulling colors from that. Say Mom picks a long flowing floral dress that is cream, rust & olive green, daughter wears an olive dress, son wears khaki pants and a rust t-shirt, Dad wears olive pants with a cream button down. I pulled all of those colors from Moms dress making this coordinate, not match.
If in studio, during normal business hours 8-5. If outside, for the best lighting, sessions are either one hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset. When thinking about a month for your session, please keep in mind sunset times. Sunset in the summer is 7-9 PM, so if baby is in bed by then, it may be best to do a fall session when the sun is setting at 5-6 PM.
